Tottenham on verge of signing Southampton star

Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama is close to completing a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Kenya international has been linked with a reunion with former Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino at White Hart Lane for some time. It appears the move could finally happen, with the report claiming that a medical is lined up for some point over the next few days.
Southampton have seemingly decided to cash-in on their wantaway star and are said to have agreed an £11m fee.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy tried to offer Ryan Mason or Nabil Bentaleb to the south-coast club in part-exchange, but the deal is likely to be cash-only.
Champions Leicester City were also in the running to sign the 24-year-old, but it is the north London club who have struck a deal.
Wanyama, who turns 25 next week, had been offered a new contract but turned it down. He had previously pushed for a move away from St Mary’s a year ago.
Pochettino is keen to add competition for England international Eric Dier and Belgium star Mousa Dembele.
